4 thumbnails shown to Advanced Photoshop Magazine prior to creating the final image. This was step one in the workshop process, as this is something I would do on my own usually. Working out at least a few or a dozen small rough thumbnails and picking the most interesting composition or design. Truthfully I liked other sketches better but they went with the bottom left one.
